Privacy Policy

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if you use email/password sign-in, a password, handled entirely by our authentication provider, Supabase, which stores it hashed and never in plain text. If you sign in with Google or Apple instead, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider, as permitted by your settings with them.

Billing information. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Kumizine never sees or stores your full card number, Stripe handles payment details directly and shares only what we need to manage your subscription (plan, status, and renewal dates).

Usage information. We may collect basic technical information, such as browser type, device, and pages visited, to keep the service reliable and understand how it's used.

The pages, artwork, and layout settings you work with in Kumizine are processed entirely in your browser. Imposition, previews, and your downloaded InDesign/Affinity templates and assembly instructions are generated client-side and are never uploaded to or stored on Kumizine's servers. We don't see your artwork, and we don't retain a copy of it.

We use the information above to:

• Create and maintain your account, and keep you signed in.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Send account, billing, and product emails, including, if you've opted in, occasional product updates via our email platform, Klaviyo.
• Diagnose problems and improve the product.
• Meet our legal and tax obligations.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run Kumizine, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

• Supabase , authentication and account storage.
• Stripe , payment processing and subscription billing.
• Klaviyo , account and marketing email delivery.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Kumizine or our users.

Kumizine uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your account data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain limited records (such as billing history) to meet legal or tax obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Kumizine is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
