Print one cheap test sheet first so you can see whether your printer is flipping the back side on the edge you expect.
This tool is meant to catch the common ‘everything printed upside down’ problem before you waste a full booklet run. The download is printer-agnostic, with big directional labels and no colour-only instructions.

Choose the orientation you plan to print in, then print the PDF double-sided at 100% scale using the duplex setting you want to test.
How to use it
- 1Download the PDF in the same orientation you plan to print your real pages.
- 2Print it double-sided at 100% scale using your current duplex setting.
- 3Keep the sheet facing the same way when you pick it up, then compare the FRONT and BACK labels plus the top-edge markers.
- 4If the back side is upside down relative to the front, switch the duplex flip edge and print the same test again.
Practical notes
- •Different printers use different wording for duplex options, so this tool avoids assuming your driver will say exactly ‘long-edge’ or ‘short-edge’.
- •Use the same paper orientation, paper tray direction, and print scale you plan to use for the real job.
- •This test checks duplex behaviour only. It does not replace page-order or imposition checks for booklet printing.
