Zine Page Order Calculator

Use this calculator to see how a finished page count turns into printer spreads before you print, fold, or bind anything.

It uses the same nested-versus-sequential page-order logic Kumizine already uses for supported bindings, so you can check whether a booklet needs true imposition or just a flat reading-order stack.

Calculate page order

Start with page count and binding. If the binding uses gathered signatures, you can also choose the signature size.

Printer spread result

This is the order the sheets need to print in. The reading order only appears after duplex printing, folding, and binding.

How to use this result

  • If the binding is nested, the first sheet usually pairs the outside pages of that signature rather than pages 1–2.
  • If the binding is sequential, the pages stay in reading order across the sheets and the main risk moves to duplex orientation rather than imposition math.
  • Print one low-cost test before the full run if you are unsure about long-edge versus short-edge duplex flipping.
